Celebrate Matariki with Dr Hinemoa Elder Join bestselling author and psychiatrist Dr Hinemoa Elder for a thoughtful and engaging session as she reflects on what the Māori new year can mean for people wanting to think about themselves and their lives. She’ll talk about the Māori lunar calendar, manaaki, memory, gratitude, how we can “think about thinking” and more.

A booklet will be provided to attendees for recording prompts/thoughts for reflecting on later (although this is not a workshop). She is the author of five bestselling books, including Aroha: Māori Wisdom for a Contented Life Lived in Harmony with Our Planet and most recently Ara: A Māori Guidebook of the Mind . Hinemoa is a child and adolescent psychiatrist and in 2019 was appointed a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit, for services to psychiatry and Māori.
