Queering the archive with The Charlotte Museum
How do traditional archiving conventions shift when approached through a queer lens? Gus Fisher Gallery and Te Whare Takatāpui-Wāhine o Aotearoa The Charlotte Museum present a conversation examining queer archives of Aotearoa, marking 40 years since the Homosexual Law Reform Act 1986.
The discussion draws thematic parallels with the exhibition Studies for a Keepsake: Claude Cahun and Marcel Moore. A selection of rare ephemera and archive materials relating to the Homosexual Law Reform campaign will be on display.
